LEAD Brick Church Cheerleaders Attend Mayoral Inauguration

When the incoming Deputy Mayor for Community Engagement invites you to the Mayoral Inauguration, you go. Proudly. In uniform.

That’s precisely what happened last week.

Nashville Mayor John Cooper was sworn-in at a ceremony at Stratford STEM Magnet School on Saturday, Sept. 28. A week prior, our cheerleaders hosted a car wash fundraiser at school and Brenda Haywood, the Deputy Mayor for Community Engagement, happened to drive by and stop in.

Moments later, she invited the team to the inauguration and on Saturday, there they were in full uniform representing the Bears and the greater community.
