At LEAD, we “Live Community!” LEAD collaborates and helps to address issues beyond the classroom through the following initiatives:
LEAD Serve Others Stations
Serve Others Stations help LEAD play a role in the resilience, strength, and courage that our families exemplify daily. Because even in hard times, LEAD families find a way to make it work. The Family and Community Engagement team conducts outreach to our families year round. After identifying or being notified of a need, the FACE team works closely with the family to confirm requirements, preferences, hobbies, interests and other information related to the LEAD student, members of the family, and household needs.
LEAD Exchange
LEAD Families receive “bucks” for each day their LEADer attends school. With earned bucks, families will have the opportunity to come to our campus and shop for essential household items once a month. Items will not only include food items, but also toiletries and cleaning supplies.
LEAD CarePortal
CarePortal helps LEAD support our families that are in crisis stay together. We are able to rally our LEAD community to provide essential support and resources to families, connecting families to more community resources. If you are in crisis, and are in dire need of support, please do not hesitate to reach out to your Family and Community Engagement Coordinator.
