Quick Facts

Personalized learning and close student-teacher relationships foster positive culture and academic excellence.

Diverse student population welcoming students from 28 countries

Two-time reward school for growth in 2014-2015 and 2016-2017, with students growing faster academically than their peers across the state.

Opportunities to participate in 28 different clubs during the school day

LEAD Southeast Middle School joined the LEAD network in 2013 responding to the need for personalized and high-quality instruction in South Nashville and Antioch neighborhoods. LSE Middle School is honored to serve the most diverse student population in Metro Nashville.

By understanding the strengths, needs, and goals of our diverse population, we are better able to educate and serve our community. Our mission each and every day is to create a safe, joyful, and productive classroom environment. LEAD Southeast Middle School students and families are offered additional support including homework help, literacy instruction, and transportation to evening English classes for parents.

With the opening of LEAD Southeast High School, students now have the opportunity to continue in a consistent learning environment until graduation.

Our LEAD Ethos is central to everything we do.

“We are LEADers because we are committed, courageous, disciplined, self-reliant and because we serve others.”

“When kids come from another country and go straight into a new school system, there is shock. LEAD Southeast has a unique quality to include all children from many different origins. I believe this teaches them to learn from each other. This is clearly encouraged.”
