Our very own Dwayne Tucker is receiving the prestigious honor from the Nashville Public Education Foundation of being inducted into the MNPS Distinguished Alumni Public Schools Hall of Fame on September 8th.
The MNPS Distinguished Alumni Public Schools Hall of Fame is an annual recognition that honors individuals and organizations that demonstrate exceptional dedication and commitment to Nashville’s public schools and students. The Nashville community, including its business leaders, community leaders, and educators, come together to celebrate these outstanding individuals that continue to make a positive impact where all Nashville children can thrive.
Former LEAD Public Schools’ Board Member Judge Richard Dinkins and longtime supporter of LEAD received this prestigious award in 2019. Click here to view a list of past Hall of Fame Honorees.
Of note is the fact that Dwayne as our CEO is the first charter representative to receive this award. In his acknowledgement of this fact with the Nashville Public Education Foundation, Dwayne had this to say:
“I’m honored to be recognized especially as a product of Nashville public schools. As a current leader of one of the largest charter school networks, hopefully my recognition will help build additional community bridges between charters and traditional public schools given both are public schools.”
