LEAD Public Schools 2021-2022 Teacher Applications Now Open
LEAD Public Schools seeks passionate teachers who want to grow and make a difference with Nashville students. Applications for the 2021-2022 school year are now open.

LEAD offers many opportunities to grow. Our performance-based compensation model makes it possible for excellent teachers to continue in the classroom and earn up to a 10% salary increase annually. After one full year of employment, we offer 16 weeks paid leave for new mothers and primary caregivers.

We develop great teachers with a culture of continual growth. This includes:
- A dedicated coach: One instructional coach for every 6-8 teachers to provide regular support.
- Culture foundations: We help teachers build and maintain positive classroom environments.
- Great teammates: We build teams around our teachers so they never do this work alone.
“In my ninth year, I’m still receiving coaching. We talk about what’s working, what’s not working, and how I can become a better teacher and best serve our kids,” said Rennard Watkins, physical education teacher at LEAD Academy High School.
Over 65% of our teaching staff took home between a 4-6% raise from the 2019-2020 school year to 2020-2021 and over 80% of our staff returned from the 2019-2020 school year to 2020-2021.
