Neely’s Bend Perfect Attendance Initiative Encourages Self-Reliance
Neely’s Bend students are being rewarded for their excellent attendance. Students with perfect attendance, or excused absences only,
are rewarded with extra recesses, dress out days, and snacks.
The attendance initiatives exemplify the lead ethos of self-reliance. Students show self-reliance by attending school each day and being responsible for turning in excuse notes on the days they are absent.
“School attendance is a powerful predictor of student outcomes,” said Neely’s Bend School Counselor Violet Gau. “Our attendance initiatives are important to the daily operations at LEAD Neely’s Bend because students being present in school is foundational for their academic achievement and social emotional well-being.”
As we reach the final few months of the school year, students are encouraged to finish on a strong note while also earning attendance initiatives along the way.
