LEAD Academy Graduates Receive Free Laptops For College
This spring, seven LEAD Academy Class of 2025 graduates were given laptops to take with them as they embark on their post-secondary journeys. This is the third year philanthropic funding has provided laptops to our high school students. The previous two years, these were donated by the Hendersonville Area Links organization, and this year the funding was made possible by college and career initiatives donations made as a result of the 2025 Commitment Breakfast featuring Senior Signing Day event.
“We are so grateful for the support of our donors,” said Maggie Sneed, principal at LEAD Academy. “This gift ensures technology will not be a barrier for our graduates as they take the next step in their education by attending college. This investment in our community, and the lasting impact it has on our graduates as they continue their education, is invaluable.”
The LEAD Academy graduates who received the laptops are Nicole Alvarado (Vanderbilt University), Janette Chavez-Salgado (Nashville State), Jennifer Binuelo Hernandez (Belmont University), Yasmin Padron (Portland State University), Adarmaris Perez (Lipscomb University), Geor’Kiyah Endsley (Lipscomb University), and Yoselin Perez (Belmont University).
