LEAD Public Schools seeks passionate teachers who want to grow and make a difference with Nashville students. Applications for the 2021-2022 school year are now open.
At LEAD, everyone embraces the mission. We come to work each day motivated by our students and inspired by our colleagues. We commit to creating an environment and culture where people want to grow, support each other, and love coming to work each day. If that sounds like you, we hope you will consider joining our family.
LEAD offers many opportunities to grow. Our performance-based compensation model makes it possible for excellent teachers to continue in the classroom and earn up to a 10% salary increase annually. After one full year of employment, we offer 16 weeks paid leave for new mothers and primary caregivers.
“If you are a great instructor, LEAD’s shown that they are going to reward you, develop you and work to keep you in the classroom,” said Dylan Burrows, an Instructional Coach at LEAD Southeast High School.
We develop great teachers with a culture of continual growth. This includes:
- A dedicated coach: One instructional coach for every 6-8 teachers to provide regular support.
- Culture foundations: We help teachers build and maintain positive classroom environments.
- Great teammates: We build teams around our teachers so they never do this work alone.
“In my ninth year, I’m still receiving coaching. We talk about what’s working, what’s not working, and how I can become a better teacher and best serve our kids,” said Rennard Watkins, physical education teacher at LEAD Academy High School.
Over 65% of our teaching staff took home between a 4-6% raise from the 2019-2020 school year to 2020-2021 and over 80% of our staff returned from the 2019-2020 school year to 2020-2021.
We are so excited to add new members to our team and family for the upcoming year. Apply today: https://leadpublicschools.org/join-our-team/.
