LEAD Public Schools Announces 2023-24 Master Teachers
LEAD Public Schools is proud to announce 11 teachers have been selected as Master Teachers for the 2023-24 school year. LEAD’s Master Teacher pathway is an opportunity for the network’s highest-performing teachers to earn a higher salary and have more influence in their schools and across the entire organization–all while staying in the classroom.
“Teachers are the single-most important factor when it comes to improving academic outcomes, and we are committed to finding ways to keep our highest-performing teachers in the classroom,” said Dwayne Tucker, CEO at LEAD Public Schools. “This program allows us to reward these excellent educators so they can continue to pursue their passion for teaching, while also serving as a leader among their peers.”
As part of the program, Master Teachers are expected to complete an annual 30-hour project, serve as a model classroom for training and school visits, serve as a network ambassador, and participate in periodic network-wide round tables regarding academic initiatives. This year’s Master Teachers are:

The 2023-24 Master Teachers were recognized at the LEAD University Kickoff Breakfast, along with 2022-23 Master Teachers Kirsten Lindquist, Jessica Simmons, and Nicole Fowler for their past service.
To qualify for the Master Teacher designation, teachers must be employed at LEAD for at least three years and exemplify excellence in teaching observation scores during those three years.
