LEAD Academy Class of 2017 Earns 100 Percent Acceptance to College
“This year’s senior class is continuing a LEAD tradition with its dedication and commitment – the hallmark of what we do is to prepare our students to be college- and life-ready,” said CEO Chris Reynolds. “Our college counseling department at LEAD Academy does a phenomenal job working with our seniors to identify the best fit for them when they apply to colleges and when they embark on the next chapter of their educational journey. We are beyond proud of their work.”
Friday’s surprise announcement marked the beginning of a host of events celebrating the senior class’ accomplishments. This Thursday, LEAD will host the annual College Breakfast at the Music City Center and on May 17, LEAD’s annual Senior Signing Day returns to Belmont University — there, the senior class members will publicly declare where they will attend college. Graduation takes place the following day.
Finally, LEAD received word this past month that the high school has been selected as the Tennessee College and Career Transition Award recipient for the ACT College and Career Readiness Campaign.
Established in 2013, the annual ACT College and Career Readiness Campaign celebrates achievement and creates awareness around the goal of college and career readiness for all. ACT developed the Campaign to shine a light on the individuals and institutions doing more with less, overcoming personal or community obstacles, and serving as examples to others working to improve the condition of college and career readiness for all.
For the Class of 2017’s commitment, discipline, courage and self-reliance, all LEADers shoutout!
