LEAD Southeast Middle Announces New Principal for 2024-25 School Year

LEAD Public Schools has selected Jonathan Brocco as LEAD Southeast Middle’s new principal for the 2024-25 school year. He currently serves as LEAD Southeast Middle’s assistant principal of instruction.

“Mr. Brocco’s knowledge as a leader at LEAD Southeast Middle, as well as his experience under Principal Tom Schoen’s leadership, will ensure a consistent vision as LEAD Southeast Middle looks to continue building upon its success next school year,” said Dwayne Tucker, CEO at LEAD Public Schools. “This smooth transition in leadership exemplifies LEAD’s continued commitment to developing leaders from within the organization, and while we will miss Mr. Schoen and his expertise, I am thrilled to see another leader step up into a new role.”

Brocco first joined the LEAD team in 2020 as an instructional coach at LEAD Southeast Middle before being promoted to the school’s assistant principal of instruction. He brings ten years of experience in education to his new role.

“LEAD Southeast Middle is a community committed to the belonging, well being, and success of students and families in Southeast Nashville,” said Brocco. “It has been a privilege to be a Lobo for the last four years, and I am grateful for the opportunity to continue serving our incredible school as the next principal. I am thrilled for all that we will accomplish together. Go Lobos!”

Over the course of the rest of the semester, Brocco will work closely with current Principal Schoen to ensure a smooth transition for the 2024-25 school year. He will officially begin his new role on July 1.
