Stephanie Jarrett-Thorpe Named Founding Principal at LEAD Southeast Elementary School
LEAD Public Schools is proud to share that Stephanie Jarrett-Thorpe has been selected as LEAD Southeast Elementary’s founding principal for the 2025-26 school year. She currently serves on the elementary team at LEAD’s network office, where she has worked alongside Dr. Ricki Gibbs through the planning, application, and approval process for LEAD’s first elementary school.
“I am thrilled that Ms. Stephanie Jarrett-Thorpe will be the founding principal of LEAD Southeast Elementary,” said Dr Gibbs, head of elementary schools at LEAD Public Schools. “With her visionary leadership, passion for education, and dedication to building a nurturing and inspiring environment, she will create a school where every child thrives, every teacher shines, and every family feels part of something extraordinary. Jarrett-Thorpe brings 21 years of experience in education, where she has served as a coach, assistant principal, and principal at schools in both Nashville and Washington, D.C. Most recently, she served as a managing associate at CT3 Education, where she delivered dynamic executive leadership and instructional coaching to school leaders in various regions of the U.S., leading principals to drive growth on state accountability metrics throughout Washington, D.C., Missouri, Mississippi, and Ohio.
“What excites me most about this role is the opportunity to build a strong foundation for LEADership and excellence as a part of a strong LEAD Southeast ‘pack’”, said Jarrett-Thorpe. “I hope for LSEE to be an example for unifying diverse communities around the education and holistic development of our children as an investment in our collective future.”
Jarrett-Thorpe’s biggest priority as we finish out the 2024-25 school year is to build a dynamic team of leaders and teachers who are ready to achieve great things. LEAD Southeast Elementary School will officially open its doors to students in grades K-2 in August 2025 and will begin accepting applications in January.
