LEAD’s Class of 2024 Kicks Off Senior Year With College App Celebrations
LEAD Southeast and LEAD Academy seniors are marking an important milestone during their senior year: applying to college!
Both schools hosted a College App Party to celebrate 100% of their seniors applying to at least one college. During the event, each student received a certificate of achievement for completing a college application and signed their Class of 2024 banner that will be displayed in the school for the rest of the school year.
“Our college application parties are the first step in the Class of 2024’s journey to choosing their post-secondary pathway,” said Courtney McEwen, LEAD’s college and career director. “We are excited to celebrate the milestone of applying to college with our seniors and look forward to seeing them announce their plans for after graduation at Senior Signing Day in May.”
Every LEAD senior applied to at least one of the following colleges:
LEAD Academy
- Middle Tennessee State University
- Nashville State Community College
- Tennessee College of Applied Technology
- University of Memphis
- University of Tennessee at Chattanooga
LEAD Southeast
- Lipscomb University
- Middle Tennessee State University
- Nashville State Community College
- Tennessee Tech
- Trevecca University
Representatives from these colleges were present at both events to provide an opportunity for students to learn more about the admissions process.
In May, LEAD Academy and LEAD Southeast seniors will make a commitment to themselves in front of family, friends, and the entire LEAD Network by announcing their plans after high school graduation at our 11th annual Senior Signing Day.
