LEADership Institute Helps Support Students and Families
LEAD Public Schools trained 70 up-and-coming leaders in our network at the 2022 Leadership Institute earlier this month.
“At LEAD, we believe effective leadership creates the conditions, policies, and practices for faculty and staff to best support students and families. When students, faculty, and staff have what they need, schools produce top-quality results,” said Head of Schools Jay Brown.
The institute is an opportunity to collaborate and train leaders about strategies, policies, and practices at LEAD Public Schools. Over the course of several days, faculty and staff deepen their understanding of LEAD’s leadership model and gain confidence and skills.
The institute also offers faculty and staff new insights and abilities that expand individual leadership capabilities in coaching and developing others through understanding unconscious bias and practicing difficult conversations.
“The Leadership Institute helps leaders identify and prioritize best practices focused on student achievement,” Brown added. “School leaders discuss what’s working and challenges in an effort to benefit students, families, and teachers. It gives school leaders a transparent opportunity to speak in one voice in alignment with our network of schools.”
