LEAD Southeast Senior Accepted to Vanderbilt University
LEAD Southeast Senior Chisom Nnadozie will be attending Vanderbilt University in the Fall of 2022. She is the first LEAD Southeast student to earn this prestigious honor.
“Vanderbilt has been one of my dream schools since I was in 5th grade,” said Nnadozie.
Nnadozie has attended LEAD Public Schools since the 5th grade and credits her teachers and peers for helping her to excel in her schoolwork.
“In terms of who helped me get this far, I would say pretty much all of my teachers throughout the years. I cannot stress how helpful they’ve been to me and making sure that I’m successful in their classes. I’d also like to thank my friends who encouraged me along the way,” she said.
“We are very proud of Chisom’s acceptance to Vanderbilt,” said LEAD Southeast High School Principal Genevieve Byrd. “She is the first LSEH graduate to receive this honor, but we know more will follow in her footsteps. The staff at LSE have worked to make sure all students post secondary goals can be accomplished. We know that because of the preparation she received at LSE, Chisom is ready to LEAD at Vanderbilt.”
Nnadozie plans to study psychology or neuroscience with the goal of attending medical school to become a psychiatrist.
