LEAD Public Schools to Open New Elementary School in August 2025
Today, the Tennessee Public Charter School Commission voted to approve the opening of LEAD Southeast Elementary, a K-5 school that will open in Southeast Nashville in August 2025.
The approval of LEAD Southeast Elementary marks an important milestone for LEAD Public Schools. The school will be LEAD’s first elementary school and will create a consistent K-12 pathway for LEAD families by feeding into LEAD Southeast Middle and LEAD Southeast High.
“LEAD Southeast Elementary will be a place where every child can unlock their full potential, driven by curiosity, compassion, and a deep commitment to learning,” said Dr. Ricki Gibbs, head of elementary schools. “This school won’t just educate; it’ll uplift our entire community, shaping the leaders of tomorrow with the values we cherish today.”
LEAD Southeast Elementary is slated to welcome new students and families in August 2025 and will initially serve students in grades K-2. The school will add a new grade each following year until it builds out a full K-5 spectrum.
