LEAD Public Schools Earns Highest Level of Academic Growth at Every School During 2023-24 School Year
“This is a huge accomplishment for our network, and I am incredibly proud of our teachers and staff for delivering on their commitment to our students and families,” said Dwayne Tucker, CEO at LEAD Public Schools. “With more than 70% of our students coming to us below grade level, continued and sustained academic growth is essential to their academic success, and I am proud of our team for continuing to push our students forward.”
This is the first time in network history that every LEAD school has earned a Level 5, which is the highest possible level of academic growth a school can achieve. Additionally, LEAD had 45 individual Level 5 teachers, which is more than double the amount of Level 5 teachers in a single year at LEAD since the pandemic.
“There is much to be proud of in these results, but I’d like to specifically recognize the LEAD Brick Church team for what they accomplished during their final year as a LEAD school,” said Tucker. “Despite learning mid-year that Brick’s charter would not be renewed, the school’s staff remained focused on what is best for students, and they delivered the best academic results in Brick Church’s history.”
