LEAD Academy Celebrates Class of 2020 with Special Ceremony
After years of hard work and dedication, the LEAD Academy Class of 2020 officially graduated and received their diplomas in a special ceremony Thursday.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, health department guidelines do not allow for large gatherings. LEAD Academy, instead, had students and their families receive the diplomas in a drive-through ceremony. Principal Nic Frank congratulated the new graduates and students posed for photos outside the school. Teachers lined up along the sidewalk to offer words of support and encouragement with signs and cheers.
“You have always set an example of commitment, hard work, healthy competition and, most importantly, dedication to each other as a class,” Frank said. “I am truly sad that your senior year had to end like this but I want you to know just how proud we all are of what you’ve accomplished and what you have given to our school. In a year that included devastating tornadoes and a pandemic that no one saw coming, the Class of 2020 is still what I will remember the most. I am going to miss you guys!”
Congratulations Class of 2020!
